April Battles, an expert horse person and long-time trainer, frustrated after years of looking for a saddle to not only increase comfort but also performance in her trail and endurance horses finally discovered the Bob Marshall Sport Saddle Company. The Bob Marshall treeless saddle eliminates the rigid tree that gives the horses sore and stiff backs yet it is a very well-made, sturdy saddle. For over eight years April has been helping hundreds of satisfied clients give up their stiff, treed saddle for this phenomenal new breed of saddle. April's personal testimony guarantees this saddle to be not only comfortable for horse and rider but extremely well built, attractive, yet very light weight (14-21 pounds). Customers with all breeds of horses are highly recommending April and this sports saddle.
Letter of Recommendation to April Battles
on just one month of training on "Patches"
"Dear April,
I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate the care and attention you have given to my sweetie girl Patches and support to me. Her attitude on the trail was a complete turn around from where I had been with her (the month) before. I was trying so hard to eliminate thoughts and images that I carried from previous problem rides with her, so as to keep a lid on my nervousness in riding her. But in my heart of hearts, I was kinda scared. My experience had been that she would "be good for the trainer" (most of the time) and then be a jittery, speedy, moody, stubborn, and sometimes scary ride for me. I assumed that it was due entirely to my imperfect riding and poor communication. Of course, I had no idea that she was in pain and hyped up on alfalfa. She just couldn't tolerate an inexperienced, nervous rider on top of that. I love her dearly and am grateful to have found in you someone who could figure out what she needed.
What I saw yesterday, and more importantly felt, was that she was really trying to do what I asked her to do (with just a little testing of whether or not I would make her walk and stand). I know I have a long way to go in riding skills and communication, but that last water crossing was amazing--a month ago she and I would never have been able to go near that water, let alone walk through it in the lead. It was similar enough to when she and I had done a crash and burn three years ago that looking back on it, well, it's just amazing that she yielded to my hands and legs and just walked on through a lot of water like a pro. When you gave me the key of visualizing going through it and being on the other side, I just hung on to it like a lifeline. Very much a Zen approach that took me outside of my self and guided horse and rider through that water. I cannot thank you enough." K.F.
